Gianfranco Ferré Home comes back to the Salone del Mobile with its new collection

On the occasion of the 61st edition of the Milan Salone del Mobile, 2023, Gianfranco Ferré Home presents its new collection of furnishings through a 300-square-metre exhibition divided into three living rooms, two dining rooms and one bedroom.

The architecture recreates the structure of a loft, in which wide open spaces are separated by steel dividing elements and cement walls, representing a contemporary, urban and metropolitan style. The Jaguar positioned in the centre of the space stands out, confirming the luxurious, sporty and masculine character of the collection, and emphasising a new concept of home to be understood as a place of infinite connections, in which design meets interests and passions, becoming the mirror of a lifestyle and the representation of the inhabitant’s personality.

In the first living room, playing on light and delicate tones, the geometric lines of the Islington low tables contrast with the softness of the chairs, amongst which we find the small Fulham swivel armchair, with its delicate appeal and its white bouclé fabric upholstery that enhances its curves and elevates the sense of comfort. Together with the Madison armchairs, in vintage Brazilian style, and the Brompton sofa, with its metal structure, Fulham confers a note of intimacy and warmth to the industrial context.

In the dining room, the imposing Rockefeller dining table creates a striking, impactful ambience. This version is designed with an inlaid surface made of Canaletto walnut and Sahara Noir marble legs. The contemporary aesthetics of the table can be found in the sideboard and display cabinets of the New Orleans line, also in Canaletto walnut, and in the new Dalston chair.

The second living room combines the comfort of the Seattle sectional sofa with the vintage inspiration of the Kalamaja and Wall Street armchairs. The geometric shapes of the arrangement of the Fitzroy and Doppler low tables interact with the sculptural lines of the new Hackney bookcase, which furnishes the central wall with its striking mass. Customisable within the composition, the bookcase is made of Tay wood with metal finishes and presents leather-covered shelves that bestow it with a note of luxury.

The star of the room, the Pimlico bed recalls the charm of the London district through its evocative name. Its sinuous profile is enriched by the bouclé fabric upholstery, while the large headboard amplifies the sense of protection and cosiness. Among the bedroom’s furnishings we also find the Doppler dressing table, which completes the homonymous line, characterised by a light, airy design.

The third living room stands out with its notes of blue that enrich the colour palette. We see them recur in the Piccadilly small round armchairs and in the Brooklyn poufs, presented with new decorative fabrics. These in turn are paired with low tables that reproduce the play of lines on the surface. The new Leicester sofa, with its squared shape enhanced by contrasting piping, also presents an upholstery in a midnight-blue fabric that is warm and tactile, confirming the measured balance between intimacy and contemporaneity that defines the whole staging.
